Kareem Bennett / CEO of Musqlar

Kareem Bennett is the founder, CEO and President of Musqlar Quality Co. Apparel, an athleisure sportswear company based in Maryland.

Kareem discovered his passions early in life, starting to design clothing at the early age of 16, while simultaneously embarking on his lifelong journey of a healthy lifestyle. Kareem flourished at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, where he majored in industrial design technology. During his college years, he became much more committed to implementing a daily gym regimen.

Training was his career, weight lifting was his job, the gym was his office, and his co-workers were those he trained with.

Like most places of business, the gym had a dress code. The people he trained with would occasionally complain about their struggle between the comfort and functionality of sportswear on the market. He began listening more closely and taking note of what people needed. He realized his want and need to create a brand combining comfort, style, and empowerment.

He would create not only something to sweat in, but also to wear leisurely - in and out of the gym. Kareem combined his design skills with his athletic knowledge to create the perfect athleisure sportswear. Brands prior had paved the way for trendy workout apparel, but Kareem’s vision surpassed what was on the market. Musqlar had to bring out the greatness in every athlete by empowering both mind and body.

“Empowering Mind and Muscle” became the motto.

This wasn’t about cliché quotes or commercialized sayings attached to vague messages. Musqlar had to have meaning and connection to all athletes everywhere.

What connects athletes of every sport around the world, from professional to leisure? We are all created with a muscular layer beneath the surface. We are all Musqlar.
